Lisa B. Roper is a partner in the Estate & Trust Litigation Group, the Trust Administration & Probate Group, and the Civil & Commercial Litigation Group, where she advises clients in estate and trust controversies, estate and trust administrations, guardianships, and conservatorships.  

Ms. Roper received her law degree in 2011 and her LL.M in Taxation in 2015 from the University of San Diego School of Law.  She is admitted to practice in California and is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Specialization.

Ms. Roper is a member of the California Lawyers Association (Trusts & Estates Section), the San Diego County Bar Association (Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law Section), and the Probate Attorneys of San Diego.  Prior to joining Henderson, Caverly & Pum LLP in 2013, Ms. Roper was in-house counsel at a federal savings bank in San Diego.

Ms. Roper authored the 2018 article, “The Intersection of Death and Divorce: Where Probate and Family Law Collide”, published in the California Trusts and Estate Quarterly, Official Publication of the California Lawyers Association, Trusts and Estates Section.  Ms. Roper co-authored the 2021 Quarterly article Whose Money is it Anyway?  Making Cents of the California Uniform Principal and Income Act with Kristen E. Caverly and Stephen D. Blea.  

In 2022, 2023, and 2024, Ms. Roper was recognized by The Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® In America for work in Litigation-Trusts and Estates, and Trusts and Estates. Ms. Roper is listed in Southern California Super Lawyers – San Diego (2023-present).
